Michigan vs. Michigan State Uniforms: Rivalry Goes Deeper Than the Field
The rivalry between the Michigan State Spartans and Michigan Wolverines causes the programs, players and fans to clash in just about every way imaginable—even the jerseys can't seem to agree.
The Spartans came into Saturday's home game against the Wolverines knowing that they would be officially unveiling their Nike Pro Combat uniforms on the field.
The uniforms are dark green with the off-color of bronze on the numbers and black lettering on the front and back.
They also feature bronze helmets with a think dark green stripe down the front-middle, and the spartan logo on the side.

Overall the jerseys aren't extremely flashy, but they do look cool.
The one problem I do have with them is the overall lack of white, considering that it's a base of Michigan State's color scheme.
Here is what the Twitter world thinks of Michigan State's new digs:
Of course the Wolverines couldn't let the Spartans have all the fun though; that's just not how a rivalry works.
Michigan warmed up in their traditional road jerseys, but then went back and changed in time for the game into the jerseys they call their "legacy uniform" from Adidas.
The jersey is essentially just the road uniform of the ones we saw them play in against Notre Dame.
The majority of the uniform is white, but it features yellow and blue stripes on the shoulders. They do look pretty cool, especially with the Michigan "block M" on the chest.
Here is what Twitter had to say about Michigan's jerseys:
If you don't get the rivalry between Michigan and Michigan State, this is a good insight into the hatred and competition that exists between the two programs.
Something as simple as a jersey is something worth fighting and competing over.
Now that you've seen both jerseys and some of the reaction, what do you think?
