Donald WoodOct 15, 2011

With the official BCS rankings coming out this Sunday, the excitement over its 2011 unveiling is palpable.

Teams across college football are on the edge of their seats waiting for the computer’s results, and the results will shake the landscape of what we expect for the big games at the end of the season.

Many teams will feel passed over by the BCS system, but a few of the undefeated teams will have no problem continuing their success. They give the computer no choice but to respect them.

No. 11 Michigan Wolverines—The Michigan Wolverines have become one of the most devastating offenses in college football this year, and they can thank the dynamic dual threat Denard Robinson for that offensive success.

While everyone has focused all of their attention on the offensive skill players of the Wolverines, it is the eighth-ranked defense in the nation that has made Michigan the undefeated stars they have become.

No. 2 Alabama Crimson Tide—There is no question that the Alabama Crimson Tide are the best team in the SEC and probably all of college football and the score will be settled when the Tide roll over No. 1 LSU on Nov. 5.

With the best defense in the nation and an offense that boasts a top 20 running game and a top 25 total offense, the Tide will run the table and finish 2011 undefeated.

No. 8 Clemson Tigers—The surprise team of the first six weeks has been Clemson, but the talent and the depth that will continue their winning streak through the rest of the season will be the biggest surprise.

Besides a test against a solid Georgia Tech team in late October, the Clemson Tigers have the stellar defense and timely scoring that an undefeated team needs to run the gauntlet.
