NFL Picks Week 6: Green Bay Packers over Rams and More Blowout Locks
In modern day NFL, there aren't many games that are near-certain blowouts. You not only need a matchup of a good team versus a bad team, but also one where the bad team's greatest weaknesses go up against the good team's strengths.
There aren't many of those potential situations out there, but there are some. This week is giving us three of them. Ironically, one of the losers isn't even that bad of a team. Let's start there.
New Orleans Saints over Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Projecting Every NFL Team's Starting Lineup 🔮

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
The Buccaneers have some glaring holes on defense. The 49ers put up 48 points on them (41 on offense) in the Bucs' Week 5 blowout loss, and San Francisco doesn't have Drew Brees under center.
The Saints do have Drew Brees at quarterback, as well as his countless of receiving weapons.
Tampa Bay's best chance at winning this game revolves around them keeping the Saints' offense off the field.
But with bruising running back LaGarrette Blount likely to miss this one, that seems like an unlikely possibility. I don't expect Josh Freeman to do nothing here, but it won't be near enough.
Oakland Raiders over Cleveland Browns
The Raiders are a team that tends to make mistakes, so I can understand some doubt here. But without cornerback Joe Haden, I like the Raiders' underrated receiving corps to inflict some serious damage on the Cleveland secondary.
I also expect a nice day from Darren McFadden. While the Browns will likely score some points, they won't come anywhere near the Raiders.
This will be an extremely emotional day. Say what you want about Al Davis, but no one man has meant more to the organization than Davis. This will be Oakland's first home game since Davis' death. It was emotional last week in Houston, but this will be on a different level.
I'll go with the team that's more talented, at home, and who will have the emotion on their side.
Green Bay Packers over St. Louis Rams
No, I don't think the Rams are as bad as their winless record would have you believe. The tough part of their schedule is certainly front-loaded, but the Packers are tougher than any of their opponents thus far.
Given the issues with the Rams' secondary, combined with the strength of Aaron Rodgers and the Packers passing attack, Green Bay won't struggle to score points.
St. Louis has also had a hard time protecting Sam Bradford, and the Packers have a strong pass rush.
This game is also at Lambeau Field.
Of course, you have to play the game, but this one has blowout written all over it.
Predictions:
Saints 41, Buccaneers 20
Raiders 38, Browns 17
Packers 47, Rams 13
