New York Jets: Fractured Locker Room Signals Possible End of Era in NY
If there was ever a team that desperately needed a Week 6 win, it's the New York Jets. They are struggling right now and don't seem to be getting any better.
Now, the problem appears to be going off the field.
Here, Rich Cimini details a rift between offensive lineman Brandon Moore and wide receiver Santonio Holmes.

Holmes had been critical of the offensive line here. Moore didn't respond kindly to it.
"He's obviously got the green light to evaluate every position on the team...I just didn't think captaincy entailed that. I've never seen a captain do that. That's not leading. That's not being a leader. It actually fragments the locker room. It's not productive.
"
This comes on the heels of more criticism from Jets legendary quarterback Joe Namath, which came from NBC Sports' Michael David Smith.
"These guys aren’t as smart as they think they are...They’re making too many penalties; they’re busting too many assignments. They just haven’t been focused the way you need to focus to win consistently in the league.
"
So, do we want to say that the Jets are done? Not yet. Frankly, I am not too concerned with Namath's comments. As great as he was, he's not a member of the current team.
But even if it's small and overblown, the rift between Moore and Holmes is troubling.
The Jets can't afford any more cold streaks this year. They play in a division with two of the top teams in the league and in a deep AFC.
They have gotten to two consecutive AFC Championship Games from the wild-card position, but their regular seasons haven't been particularly great.
Now, they are in a struggle and are going to have a hard time getting to the playoffs. The Jets are already fighting a significant uphill battle.
Am I saying that Rex Ryan is gone if the Jets miss the playoffs? No, nor should he be. But the Jets have always been vocal in the Rex Ryan era. Now, they seem to be turning against each other. If they can't get hot really quickly, more problems await.
