TNA Bound for Glory 2011: What Happens If Bobby Roode Doesn't Win the Title?

David LevinOct 14, 2011

It almost looks too easy.

Can it really be this easy?

I mean Bobby Roode has already been anointed the next TNA World Title holder, and we haven't even gotten to the Bound for Glory PPV that happens this Sunday.

Roode won the Bound for Glory Tournament, wrestled all his partners in Fortune, including James Storm, and faced members of Immortal along the way.

And with all that behind him, now he faces Kurt Angle, possibly the best technical wrestler of all time. And for most, it would appear that Angle doesn't stand a chance against the "Chosen One" in this match.

No, it cannot be this easy.

What worries me is the story line and the arc. Roode's rise started months ago when he was called out by none other than Ric Flair.

His mic skills have gotten better. His style has gotten better, and his work ethic has gotten better.Gone are the World Tag Team Titles he held with Storm, but that was expected to happen.

Roode is money right now for TNA, but it seems there will be a hitch in this completion of the torch passing.

Much like Randy Orton dropping the World Title to Mark Henry, which appeared to be all too simple on Smackdown, this too has its crater that might open up and make things a little more difficult.

Will Angle sell for Roode? Will James Storm have a part in this? What about Jeff Hardy, as we saw the other night coming to the aid of Beer Money in the ring?

What will Eric Bischoff have to say about this?

All these factors, all unanswered questions and no real answers to give.

Yes, it is too easy. And while I want to see Roode win the title and change the course of TNA Wrestling, I don't see it happening without a real twist that may leave us watching the television with our jaws hitting the floor first.

Yes, something will happen. This is wrestling. It always does.
