Week 6 Start Em Sit Em: Sam Bradford and 5 QBs You Must Sit

You might not have the luxury of keeping a guy on this list—especially Michael Vick—on your fantasy bench in Week 6, but it's something you have to consider based on the recent performances of the following five quarterbacks:

Josh Freeman, Buccaneers

Freeman has thrown an interception in every game this season besides when the lowly Colts came to Tampa two weeks ago, and his four in the past three weeks is reason for real concern.

The Bucs lack the kind of speed on the outside to consistently get open, which has caused Freeman to force some passes into tight spots.

The potential of losing LeGarrette Blount hurts him this week, too. Without their No. 1 back, the Saints' pressure defense will be able to focus on the Bucs passing game.

He might post big numbers by the time it's all said and done, but that doesn't mean we'll be talking about a good overall performance by Freeman come next Monday.

Sam Bradford, Rams

The numbers from Bradford haven't been good, but can you really blame him?

He doesn't have a receiver who can consistently catch the ball, and his offensive line has been one of the worst in the NFL. It's a sad state of affairs for Bradford's supporting cast.

Now, he gets a confident Packers defense that has played much better in recent weeks. Unless Bradford can get a huge game from Steven Jackson—which is unlikely, considering the Packers are No. 3 against the run—he'll likely struggle once again.

Matt Moore, Dolphins

Sunday will mark Moore's first start with the Dolphins this season, but traveling to New York to face the Jets defense certainly isn't the place I'd want to make my starting debut.

While the Jets have given up yards to two good quarterbacks in Tony Romo and Tom Brady, they've embarrassed the remaining three. Like the guy or not, Moore is more Luke McCown than he is Brady at this point. 

I'd feel confident in keeping Moore on my fantasy bench as he leaves for New York on Sunday. 

Michael Vick, Eagles

At 1-4, it's pretty clear that Vick has been pressing this season. He's forced a bunch of throws—resulting in seven interceptions—and the failures of his offensive line has lead to seven fumbles.

He faces a Redskins defense in 2011 that is a far cry from the one Vick went off on last season. They've allowed just three touchdown passes and have 15 sacks. Tackle King Dunlap hasn't practiced since suffering back spasms this week, which likely means Vick will be under fire again in a must-win game for the Eagles.

There's always the potential for big points from Vick, but he's just as much a risk at this point. You might have to start him this week, but I wouldn't blame you if you sat him for a more safe option. 

Mark Sanchez, Jets

With the Dolphins coming to New York, Sanchez has a favorable defensive matchup for this weekend. However, there's nothing from his play of late that suggests he can turn around what's been a tough season for the third-year pro.

The Jets' passing game is in shambles, and they have yet to really identify what kind of offense they want to be. Expecting Sanchez to put up big numbers, even against a struggling Dolphins pass defense, might just be too much to ask at this point.
