Week 6 Start 'Em Sit 'Em: Shonn Greene and More RBs to Leave on Your Bench

I understand that when bye weeks and injuries happen, you really have to be careful about who you bench.

In some deep leagues, there simply may not be many options in free agency or on your bench.

Still, if you have one of these guys, you should really look long and hard at some potential replacements. If you don't, you are likely in for a tough week from an important position.

Shonn Greene

First of all, the Dolphins have a solid rushing defense. Secondly, Greene has just not been a very effective player this year.

Admittedly, his best game was last week, but the Patriots' run defense leaves a lot to be desired.

I will say that I think the Jets will win this one, but I just don't know what kind of game we can expect from Greene. The Jets have some very serious holes in the offensive line that need to be fixed.

Obviously, if you've left a spot open and are in a position where you need the points on Monday, you play him. But if you need anything more than a couple of points, you should be quite nervous.

Mark Ingram

I actually like Ingram. He's a good power option in short yardage situations. Still, I am not convinced that the production will be there this week.

Why do I feel this way?

Well, mainly because I think that Drew Brees is going to torch the Buccaneers with his arm. The Tampa Bay defense is very competent against the run, even though the 49ers did torch them.

Ingram's not putting up great yardage totals, so fantasy owners need him to score. I don't like that bet.

Ryan Grant

Unless you're in a really deep league, Grant must be benched. Since his injury in opening week last season, he's only had one good game and hasn't found the end zone once.

The Packers have way too many options. Grant is just going to be lost in the shuffle.
