Fantasy Football Week 6 Projections: 3 Stars That Will Let You Down
Some weeks, even the best players can be derailed by the wrong matchup.
This trio of fantasy standouts will be rendered ordinary (or worse) by their Week 6 opponents:
1. Matthew Stafford, Detroit

Projecting Every NFL Team's Starting Lineup 🔮

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Even against the struggling Bears secondary, Stafford managed just 219 yards and threw an interception on Monday night.
Now, with a short week to prepare, he goes up against a 49ers defense that ranks third in the league with eight interceptions.
With San Francisco’s imposing run defense likely to make the Lions one-dimensional, Stafford will certainly get plenty of passing attempts. The chances are good, though, that at least a couple of those will turn into turnovers that will sink his fantasy value.
The Niners’ pass rush is also more effective than Bears', so the chances of Stafford having time to line up a deep ball to Calvin Johnson are, if not impossible, at least unfavorable.
Matt Schaub, Houston
Already handicapped by the continuing absence of Andre Johnson, Schaub has to go on the road against the fearsome Ravens' defense.
Despite last week’s bye, Baltimore has already accumulated six interceptions and 11 sacks on the season.
Don’t expect the Texans’ ground game to keep the Ravens honest, either: Baltimore is allowing just 72.5 rushing yards per game, second-best in the NFL.
Schaub will be doing well if he can turn the ball over fewer than three times on Sunday.
Matt Forte, Chicago
This one will be less disastrous in PPR leagues, but owners who are counting on yardage from Forte are in for a rough time of it.
The Vikings’ D is fourth in the NFL against the run, allowing just over 75 yards a game.
With the Bears’ line continuing to trip over its own feet on a regular basis, Forte isn’t going to get many holes, and his receiving numbers will likely be down as well.
Even playing at Soldier Field isn’t going to be enough to save Forte this week.
