NFL Trade Deadline: Panthers, Titans and Other Good Fits for Brandon Lloyd
The NFL trade deadline is approaching faster than the speed of sound, which means that the trade rumors and speculations are going to start buzzing as well.
It happens every year, so this is nothing to get overly worked up about. That being said, while many rumors turn out to be just that, there are a few that surface that really end up happening.
The latest trade rumor out there is surfacing out of Denver, where the Broncos are apparently looking to part ways with impending free-agent and star wide receiver Brandon Lloyd.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Mike Klis of the Denver Post writes more on the rumor:
"With the NFL trade deadline looming, the Broncos have been in talks with other teams regarding Pro Bowl receiver Brandon Lloyd, according to three NFL sources.
The Broncos are believed to be seeking anywhere from a third- to fifth- round draft pick in return. There have been "three or four" teams who have expressed interest in Lloyd, according to a source, with Carolina and Tennessee among them.
The NFL trading deadline is Tuesday. Once that deadline passes, a team cannot trade a player under contract until the 2012 offseason opens in March.
That the Broncos are listening to offers for Lloyd doesn't mean they will deal him. Unlike baseball, in which the July 31 deadline spurs a fury of deals, the NFL deadline doesn't produce much activity. One reason is every team has its offensive or defensive system and own playbooks. The feeling is it takes a new player a few weeks to adapt to his new system.
Three or four teams, including Tennessee and Carolina, have expressed interest in Lloyd, according to a source. The Broncos are hoping for a third- to fifth-round draft pick in return.
Trade talks are not expected to pick until after this week's games Sunday and Monday are played.
"
"Three or four teams including the Titans and Panthers have expressed interest", is a very interesting phrase to me.
Which teams could use Brandon Lloyd and would make at trade to get him? Here are a few speculations of my own regarding where Lloyd would be a good fit:
Obviously they are tied to this rumor, but for good reason. They are in the midst of a divisional battle and could really use the help at receiver, especially with Matt Hasselbeck getting hot.
The other team mentioned makes sense as well. Cam Newton has been incredible this season, and Lloyd could flourish on the other side of Steve Smith, especially if they can work out a deal as well.
If the Titans are going to make a run at Lloyd I expect the Texans to do so as well. They are currently ahead of the Titans, but not by much. They've been banged up and currently don't have the services of Andre Johnson. It's just speculation, but it makes sense.
The 49ers running game and defense is really carrying this team, so grabbing a receiver like Lloyd would really bolster their offense.
