Fantasy Football Week 14 Rankings: Kickers

Michael WhooleyDec 4, 2008

Well we made it. It’s fantasy football playoff time! This is why we put in all the hours of studying as we prepared for our drafts and each week during the season as we fine-tuned our line-ups. I am figuring that most of you that are reading the Bruno Boys Week 14 Kicker Rankings have indeed made your leagues playoffs, if that is indeed the case congratulations and good luck the rest of the way. For those of you who did not make the playoffs it is always good to keep scouting players and preparing yourself for next year.

The Bruno Boys have been preaching since the summer, don’t forget about your kicker. They may not be sexy, but they sure have been getting the job done this year. Week 13 alone produced 13 kickers that scored in double figures. So whether you are setting your line-up for the playoffs or scouting for next year it’s time to kick back and enjoy the Bruno Boys Fantasy Football Week 14 Kicker Rankings

1. Ryan Longwell (Minnesota Vikings) @ Detroit

The Detroit Lions give up 38.3 points per game at home this season and they play in a dome. Ryan Longwell owners should be salivating at this match-up. Yes the Lions are as bad as they looked on Thanksgiving Day.
Point Projection: 13 points

2. Neil Rackers (Arizona Cardinals) vs. St. Louis

After four straight weeks of double figure points Neil Rackers was held to two points Week 13 when the Cardinals were throttled by the Eagles in Philadelphia. Heading home for a date with the St. Louis Rams should be the perfect recipe for Rackers to get back on track.
Point Projection: 12 points

3. Stephen Gostkowski (New England Patriots) @ Seattle

Stephen Gostkowski was 1 for 2 on field goal attempts against Pittsburgh Week13, but before that he had six straight games with at least two field goals. Heading to Seattle to play the injury riddled Seahawks should help the Patriots and Gostkowski regain their form.
Point Projection: 12 points

4. Rob Bironas (Tennessee Titans) @ Cleveland

Rob Bironas scored 17 points against the Detroit Lions on Thanksgiving Day. Now the Browns defense is substantially better then the Lions, but the Titans have moved the ball on most everyone this season and Bironas should be in line for another big game.
Point Projection: 11 points

--------------------

5. Mason Crosby (Green Bay Packers) vs. Houston

Mason Crosby has been a consistent source of points for fantasy owners all season. He has scored eight points or more in nine games this season. Not many kickers are comfortable kicking at Lambeau Field in December, but Crosby is.
Point Projection: 11 points
