Week 6 Wavier Wire Pickups: Curtis Painter and Other Bold Moves
The NFL is full of surprises every week. One week, you’ll think you've found the next big fantasy football star. The next week, you’ll see that sleeper turn into a nightmare.
Week 6 will no doubt have another group of sleepers that will have you rushing to your fantasy football home page to put a claim on.
However, you don’t want to be the person who’s rushing to their computer to pick that person up for next week.

Colts Release Kenny Moore

Projecting Every NFL Team's Starting Lineup 🔮

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
No—you want to be the person who’s ahead of the curve and who picked up that fantasy sleeper while they were still an unknown.
Here are three players that you need to take a risk on this week. Picking these players up on your waiver wire will make a lot of people think you're crazy.
Curtis Painter: Quarterback, Indianapolis Colts
Curtis Painter is no Peyton Manning and he will never be the fantasy option that Peyton was, when healthy. However, that doesn’t mean that you shouldn’t give him a roster spot in your starting lineup this week.
In his two starts this year, he’s thrown three touchdown passes—one in his first game and two last week.
He’s getting more and more comfortable with the Colts offense and is starting to find a nice connection with Pierre Garçon.
Against the Bengals this week, people who pick up Painter can expect the QB to be forced to throw the ball a lot. This means he has a great chance to rack up the yards and throw two-to-three touchdown passes.
Earnest Graham: Running Back, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
From the recent injury reports coming out of Tampa, it looks like starter LeGarrette Blount will be out of for this week’s game. In for him will be the Bucs' main running back on passing downs, Earnest Graham.
Graham's production will go up this week as he will be in for every offensive snap. Against the Saints, people who take a risk on Graham have a great chance at seeing the Tampa back score while gaining a total of 75 to 100 yards.
James Jones: Wide Receiver, Green Bay Packers
Jones has come alive in these last few weeks as a fantasy football must at the wide receiver position. Last week, against the Falcons, Jones had a 70-yard touchdown grab to go with a 140-yard performance.
This week, Jones and the Packers play the winless St. Louis Rams. If you take a risk on him, you will be greatly rewarded. The Pack will blow out the Rams and Jones will have a big part in the success of the passing game.
There is still a couple of days before Sunday, so if these players are available in your league, grab them now before it’s to late!
