Fantasy Football Week 6: Deep Sleepers to Consider

James Hatfield Oct 13, 2011

A number of fantasy football teams are in bye week trouble and have to dig super deep to find starters for Week 6.  Here are a number of players to consider for Week 6.

Greg Little (WR, CLE): Greg Little has been promoted to starting WR after the bye week in Cleveland.  He has the ability to get the needed separation to come up with big plays.  He is a gamble play for Week 6, but he has the upside to put up five catches, 70 yards and a TD.  If you are in a dynasty league he is worth stashing regardless.

James Jones (WR, GB): Donald Driver is getting weeded out, and James Jones is coming off a big week last week.  The No. 3 wide receiver in Green Bay is a solid bye-week filler and should be good for at least four catches, 60 yards and a TD.

Harry Douglas (WR, ATL): Digging deeper—if Little and Jones are unavailable, then you can gamble on Douglas with Julio Jones out for a week.  I wouldn't be shocked if he sees five catches and 80 yards.

Earnest Graham (RB, TB): He is going to get the majority of carries with LeGarrette Blount injured and missing Week 6.  Finding a starting RB that will get the majority of the carries in Week 6 is tough.  He should be good for 15 carries for 75 yards and a TD.

Delone Carter (RB, IND): If Graham is unavailable, then Carter should be open on your waiver wire.  He will split carries with Donald Brown, so if Carter is gone then maybe Brown is on your waiver wire.  Either way he has less upside than Graham but would see upside of 10 carries and 50 yards—not going to set the world on fire.

Curtis Painter (QB, IND): Another Indy player but Painter should be good for 250 yards, two TDs and two INT.

Jermaine Gresham (TE, CIN): Gresham consistently puts up solid numbers.  I wouldn't be shocked to see five catches, 70 yards and a TD in Week 6.
