North Carolina: Tar Heels Fail Again with New-Look Jerseys
The North Carolina Tar Heels have attempted to bring in some new-look jerseys multiple times in the past, but both times they failed.
The first attempt came way back in 1999 and it made myself and many other Tar Heel fans want to cry.
This jersey was hideous. If you don't believe me, see for yourself.

Yes, that is Joseph Forte, the one-year wonder who completely tanked once he reached the NBA.
The Tar Heels tried again in 2010 and they actually eliminated the Carolina blue jerseys for a game. It didn't go over too well either when they pulled out some silver jerseys to honor 25 years of the Air Jordan brand.
At least they stuck to blue this time around, but that doesn't make these jerseys much better.
The biggest issue that I have with these jerseys is that it makes the Tar Heels look like they are stealing Duke's style.
The Blue Devils have been sporting jerseys with an aerographic design on the back for a few years now and we all know that the last thing Carolina fans want is to be compared to Duke.
Tar Heel fans Corey Inscoe and Brian Sasser shared their thoughts of the new jerseys on Twitter. Neither of which seemed to approve.
When will the athletic department going to realize that they don't need to change the traditional design?
The jerseys were perfect the way they were and it's only a matter of time until they are back.
