UFC 140 Presser Video Jabs: Jon Jones, Dana White and Mark Hominick

Dwight WakabayashiOct 12, 2011

If you want to take a peak at three professionals who "get it," so to speak, in every way possible in their jobs and in lives, you need look no further than Mark Hominick, Jon Jones and Dana White of the UFC. I was able to get some very short clips of all three at their finest today down at the Air Canada Center in Toronto.

The first clip is of Mark Hominick, holding his new daughter and speaking on his late coach and friend Shawn "The Coach" Tompkins.

"Shawn was a huge part, not just my fighting career but my life, he was the best man at my wedding. It's a huge void in anyone's life but we're gonna show everyone we are still a team and carry on his legacy by winning."

The second clip is of Jon Jones and comes with a short story. I met Jones in London this past spring and was thoroughly impressed by him in two ways. He was great with the kids in the youth jiu jitsu tournament going on in the building and the kids were extremely excited to have him there.

Jones told a kid to come and get him right before his match so he could watch it specifically and he followed through on the deal. I also saw Jones walking just outside the arena and a clearly homeless man was standing on the corner, he yelled at Jones,

"You are the man I wanted to see today, I came to see you today man!" Jones yelled back, "Oh, thanks a lot, God Bless," and I'm sure it made the guy's day.

In this clip Jones comes outside the Air Canada Center takes pictures and signs autographs for his fans.

In the last clip, Dana White gives a very fair and reasonable answer when asked if it upsets him that Brock Lesnar may want to return to the WWE.

These are three of the top men in the UFC organization. White of course, the top man, Jones a very prominent figure in terms of his title and his mainstream popularity, and Hominick in Canada, which White and all the fighters praised as a true "MMA Mecca" and these three clips are a sign that the UFC ship is being led by leaders.
