NFL Predictions Week 6: Packers vs. Rams and Biggest Blowouts

Ryan RudnanskyOct 13, 2011

The St. Louis Rams were picked by many to win the NFC West this season behind second-year quarterback Sam Bradford.

Unfortunately for the Rams, they could have never imagined their offensive line being this bad and they still don't have a legitimate No. 1 receiver.

But if the Rams thought an 0-4 start to the season couldn't get any worse, they were dead wrong. They get to face the defending champion Green Bay Packers in Week 6.

But that's not the only matchup that will turn sour in a hurry.

Here are the three matchups bound to be the biggest blowouts in Week 6.

3. Jaguars vs. Steelers

The only way I could see the Jaguars defeating the Steelers in Week 6 is if they exposed the Steelers' weak offensive line.

Unfortunately for the Jaguars, they've sacked the quarterback a grand total of eight times this season, near the bottom of the league.

The Jaguars have also lost to the Carolina Panthers this season.

Played in Pittsburgh, this one could get ugly in a hurry.

2. Dolphins vs. Jets

The Jets may be struggling at 2-3, but they did play better against the New England Patriots in Week 5.

They are also facing the Miami Dolphins in Week 6, a 1-4 team that just lost starting quarterback Chad Henne. Now the Jets' secondary gets to face backup Matt Moore on Monday night.

It doesn't help the Dolphins' cause when they are giving up 26.0 points per game.

I thought Monday Night Football matchups were supposed to be competitive.

1. Rams vs. Packers

You may be looking at the best and worst teams in the NFL in this matchup.

The only team that could save the Rams from being called the worst team in the league is the 0-5 Indianapolis Colts. But there's no question the Rams have played dismal football to start off the season.

The offense, severely damaged by its offensive line and star running back Steven Jackson's injury, have scored a laughable 11.5 points per game so far this season, the worst mark in the league.

The Rams are going to believe they're the worst team in the NFL after playing the 5-0 Packers at Lambeau Field.

By the way, the Packers are the highest-scoring team in the NFL, averaging 34.6 points per game.
