NFL Picks Week 6: Matt Schaub and 3 QBs Who Will Disappoint

Ryan RudnanskyOct 13, 2011

Even the more dependable quarterbacks in the NFL can hit a rut every once in a while, whether they aren't in tune or facing a formidable defense.

Several quarterbacks are set up to struggle in Week 6, but three in particular will have a tough time matching their career averages.

Here are three quarterbacks who will disappoint in Week 6.

3. Sam Bradford, St. Louis Rams

After such a promising rookie campaign, Rams quarterback Sam Bradford is having a nightmare of a second season.

Not only has the Rams' offensive line allowed 19 sacks (second-most in the league), Bradford still doesn't have a No. 1 receiver and his star running back, Steven Jackson, is hobbled due to injury.

Things won't get any easier for Bradford in Week 6. The Packers are giving up a good chunk of passing yards, but they also have 12 sacks on the season and I see them getting plenty of pressure on Bradford.

Bradford is averaging 212 passing yards per game, has completed under 50 percent of his passes and only has three passing touchdowns to his name.

2. Matt Schaub, Houston Texans

Matt Schaub may have passed for 416 yards against the Oakland Raiders in Week 5, but he also completed under 50 percent of his passes, going 24-of-51.  He also threw two interceptions.

In Week 6, Schaub goes up against a Baltimore Ravens defense that is near the top of the league in passing yards allowed and rushing yards allowed. The Ravens are also giving up a league-best 14.3 points per game and will be ravenous behind a home crowd.

It won't turn into a disaster for Schaub in Week 6, but he will disappoint.

1. Jay Cutler, Chicago Bears

It's hard to gauge Jay Cutler's play since joining the Bears because he's so often hurried due to his porous offensive line.

The Bears have given up 18 sacks this season, third in the league, and that may actually be doing them justice. They very well could have the worst O-line in the NFL.

In Week 6, Cutler has the pleasure of facing the Minnesota Vikings, a team that has already racked up 16 sacks behind defensive end Jared Allen, who has nine sacks of his own.

Cutler should be pressured all game and he'll probably be praying before Sunday's game.
