NFL Predictions Week 6: Panthers vs. Falcons and 3 Clashes Sure to Be Shootouts

Scoring in the NFL is extremely high in 2011. Still, some games are just built to be much more higher scoring than others.

If you take a look at the schedule, a couple of games probably catch your eye, they sure did with me. My thinking is that the scoreboard operators are going to have their hands full with these games. I am sure that they will sleep well on Sunday night.

Carolina Panthers at Atlanta Falcons

There is some reason to doubt this one. Adam Schefter reported earlier in the day that Julio Jones will not play.

Still, I like the Falcons to win this game.

Considering that, I must think this is going to be high scoring. Why? Because the Panthers are going to keep scoring points.

Cam Newton is having one of the best seasons in the NFL, and not just for rookies. He does tend to make rookie mistakes, normally with turnovers. Still, the Panthers' offense is extremely potent.

If either team is below 25 points in this one, I would be a little surprised.

Buffalo Bills at New York Giants

The Giants have a beat-up secondary. I have absolutely no doubt that the Bills will put up big numbers against them.

Still, the Giants do have a chance in a shootout. We are watching a star in the making in Victor Cruz, and Eli Manning is certainly capable of putting up a lot of points, and the Bills give up a lot.

This one has potential to be extremely high scoring. As a matter of fact, 60 combined points wouldn't surprise me at all.

Dallas Cowboys at New England Patriots

If you look at the weapons these teams have on offense, it's really difficult to see this one not resulting in a lot of points. Neither team lacks play makers and both teams have good quarterbacks to get the ball to those play makers.

I think the Cowboys will hit at least 24 points in this one. I also think the Cowboys will lose convincingly.
