Week 6 Fantasy Football Sleepers: Colt McCoy and 3 Fantasy Sleepers to Count on

Gabe ZaldivarOct 12, 2011

Brush the sleep from your fantasy eyes, because it's time to discuss the sleeper studs for Week 6 in the NFL. Colt McCoy leads the way as a player who will give your team a boost.

Bye weeks, injuries and overrated players not earning their paychecks, are the call of the day. These are the things we all have to deal with on a weekly basis.

It is the one reason that players like Colt McCoy can become studs on rare weekends. The trick is picking the time to call your shot. Week 6 is shot-calling time for these few fantasy players.

Forget that star quarterback who has made you ache every Sunday. Leave the Sunday antacids in the medicine cabinet. Welcome to another fantasy win, and these guys will get you there.

Colt McCoy: Colt McCoy has been lying in the fantasy weeds, racking up some very respectable numbers along the way.

There is no reason not to start McCoy in Week 6 as he is assured to duplicate point totals from Yahoo Leagues. The last two weeks he has scored 18 and 19 respectively. On Sunday, he gets the Raiders

Fantasy quarterbacks have had field days with the Raiders in what have been weekly shootouts. Look for both squads to move the ball with a fury on Sunday.

James Starks: The constant conundrum of the Packers backfield begins again. It looks like Starks will once again get most of Green Bay's touches on Sunday, and that's great for owners.

The Rams have an abysmal run defense. Even if Starks shares the love with Ryan Grant, there will be enough touchdowns and yards to go around. Both running backs will be fat and happy against a Rams defense that can't stop either.

Dane Sanzenbacher: If you want a deep sleeper, Dane Sanzenbacher is your man. The Bears wide receiver is getting a great deal more touches, and proving that he can actually catch the ball.

He was the go-to man during garbage time this week. As the offense continues to get tweaked, Sanzenbacher should play more of a vital role. This is the perfect player in very deep leagues.
