UFC 140 Press Conference: Jon Jones, Lyoto Machida Honored to Fight in Toronto
Some of the top dogs in the Ultimate Fighting Championship were in Toronto this afternoon and held a press conference to promote UFC 140: Jones vs Machida that takes place at the Air Canada Centre on December 10.
The conference was opened up by Tom Wright, Director of Canadian Operations for the UFC, who introduced UFC President Dana White and the fighters to the media and public.
The UFC brought in some of the top fighters on the card to promote the event as champion Jon Jones, Lyoto Machida and Canadians Mark Hominick, Rory MacDonald, Mark Bocek and Claude Patrick were all on hand and available for interviews.
UFC 140 will be the second event in Toronto since the sport was made legal in Ontario in March of this year. It's a follow up to the first event, UFC 129, which packed 55,000 fans into the Rogers Centre and delivered a highly entertaining card for the fans.
Aside from the Jones vs. Machida title fight, the UFC has compiled another stacked and satisfying card of fighters for the December show, as stars Tito Ortiz, Antonio Minotauro Nogueira, Mark Hominick and Rory MacDonald are also booked to fight. The only thing for fans to do now is to hope and pray that all fighters get through training healthy
They are set for a wild night of fights.
