Week 7 College Football Picks: Michigan State and Other Huge Game Winners
Week 7 of the 2011 college football season features some of the biggest matchups we have seen on the docket so far.
Not only are there some big-time rivalries that need to be played out, but there are some big-time matchups with serious BCS implications.
Every game is imperative in college football, but this week features arguably the most important of the bunch.
At this point of the season, undefeated teams are starting to meet up, and the winners and losers tend to go in very separate directions.
Here are a few big winners I see happening this week:
No. 11 Michigan vs. No. 23 Michigan State: Winner MSU
This is going to be one of the better games you will see this season. Not only is this a huge rivalry game in the state of Michigan, the fate of both teams will essentially be determined. State is coming in with a bad loss to Notre Dame on their record, and Michigan is coming into the game with an undefeated, albeit weak, record. Denard Robinson and Michigan have had trouble in the past few years running their gimmicky offense against bigger and better defenses, and I think this is the week that it will be exposed.
No. 20 Baylor vs. No 21 Texas A&M: Winner A&M
In my opinion, Texas A&M is a good team that has just really struggled in the past few weeks against good opponents. They looked good in the first half against Arkansas, but blew that lead and game away. I think they will finally get that bounce-back game here.
No. 6 Oklahoma State vs. No. 22 Texas: Winner OSU
The Longhorns really found themselves exposed last week at the hands of the Sooners. I don't see that changing against an arguably even more explosive Cowboys offense. Texas is good, but the truth is they aren't in Oklahoma State's class.
