Week 6 Fantasy Football Start Em Sit Em: James Starks, Deion Branch and More

Andrew KulhaOct 12, 2011

Week 6 is usually tough on fantasy football owners, and Week 6 of the 2011 NFL season is going to be no different.

Factors such as bye weeks, injuries and tough matchups all play in to your fantasy football week.

If you want to be an elite fantasy owner, you need to live your life on the waiver wire right.

With so many players potentially out in any given week, the waiver wire is your lifeline, especially if you're having trouble keeping up with the rest of your league.

The Week 6 waiver wire has a ton of talent available, so if you're smart you may want to look at these players:

James Starks, RB Packers:

The tough part about trusting in Starks as a week to week running back is the fact that he essentially isn't. Ryan Grant has been looking better as of late, and head coach Mike McCarthy seems to be going with the platoon theory in the backfield. Starks will be available on many waiver wires. Going against a Rams team that allows a ton of yards, both players will be good starts.

Deion Branch, WR Patriots:

Branch just has this knack for being at the right spot at the right time, and quarterback Tom Brady has a ton of trust in the veteran quarterback. The Cowboys are going to give the Patriots everything they have, so I expect Branch to be a huge option for Brady this week.

Fred Davis, TE Redskins:

If your tight end is out on a bye week, Fred Davis needs to be your guy. He's put up some pretty good numbers this season, and he's a great option for Rex Grossman. The Eagles' defense has a hard time covering tight ends, so Davis is a great play this weekend.
