Week 6 NFL Predictions: Panthers, Redskins and Other Huge Wins

Week 6 of the 2011 NFL season will be a defining moment for a few teams.

Every week means a lot on the NFL, but sometimes there are those integral weeks that you know are more important than others.

Perhaps it's the need need for a big or an upset, or maybe it's time to step up and prove the league that that your team is legitimate.

Other times it's merely just stopping the "bleeding" from a bad losing streak.

They always say that a win is a win, but in all honesty some wins just mean more than others.

Here are a few teams that will collect some huge wins in Week 6:

Carolina Panthers:

Call me crazy, but I think the Panthers are due for a big win here. They stuck with and almost beat the New Orleans Saints last week, and Cam Newton looks more comfortable and dynamic with every start. The Falcons are coming off a demoralizing loss to the Packers at home, and everything seems to  be against them. Momentum is firmly on the Panthers side even though both teams lost.

Washington Redskins:

Believe it or not, the Redskins are on top of their division right now and they seem to be the most stable team of the bunch. They've got a big matchup against a reeling Eagles team at home, and I think they will be able to capitalize on not only the home field advantage, but the Eagles' misfortunes.

Oakland Raiders:

I'm going to have a very hard time picking against the Raiders from here on out. They are a talented team, but now they are a talented team coping and motivated by the loss of the leader of their organization. That can be a very powerful force and I think the Cleveland Browns are really going to feel it going into Oakland this weekend.
