NFL Picks Week 6: Carolina Panthers and 3 Losers That Will Continue to Impress
In the world of the NFL, you don't always need to win to get the attention of the fans and media. Towards the end of the season, winning is all that matters. But at this time of the year, there are some teams that lose a lot more than they win, but still grab your attention.
That's who we're taking a look at here. These teams are still a little ways away from being consistent winners. As a matter of fact, these teams aren't going to win this week.
Still, they will find a way to keep themselves on the positive side of sports talk.

Projecting Every NFL Team's Starting Lineup 🔮

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Jacksonville Jaguars
Maybe I am just a big fan of Blaine Gabbert's, but I really like the direction this team is headed in. Now, in Pittsburgh, I don't see them pulling a win; although I do think the Steelers will eventually slip this season.
In terms of players, the Jaguars are headed in the right direction. Clearly Gabbert is still raw, but he's also showing us why he was taken by the Jaguars.
Look for more of the same to happen here. Gabbert will make mistakes, but the Jaguars will look impressive enough in a losing effort. By the end of the year, don't be surprised if they pull a massive upset.
Indianapolis Colts
The Bengals are a surprising 3-2 team, and they actually could be better. I am going to go with them to pull a victory off here, but I think it will be close.
The Colts have looked much better under Curtis Painter. They still haven't won, but have been far more competitive. There's really no reason to expect that that won't continue.
We'll see if they eventually break out of this funk and win a few games. I don't see that starting in Week 6, but it's not too far off.
Carolina Panthers
The Falcons are absolutely desperate. The two teams they are chasing are playing each other, so if they win, they will still be behind in the NFC South.
The desperation and home field advantage will put the Falcons over the top in this game. Given what we've seen, this might sound like a broken record, but we can also expect big things from the Panthers.
Cam Newton will throw for a lot of yards. Steve Smith will make big plays. The Panthers will compete, but will lose in the end.
At some point this season, that last statement is going to change.
