TNA Impact Wrestling Preview: Hulk Hogan/Sting Contract Signing and More

Kyle SchadlerOct 12, 2011

TNA Impact Wrestling has been heating up. The weeks leading up to Bound for Glory have been great television.

Tomorrow night should be no different.

Tomorrow night is the go-home episode of Impact Wrestling before the big event, and TNA has confirmed two matches and three in-ring segments.

So here’s what’s scheduled for tomorrow’s show.

Matt Morgan vs. Samoa Joe

Matt Morgan was a favorite to win the Bound for Glory Series before getting injured. Samoa Joe on the other hand had no signs of being anyone’s favorite.

By the end of the series, Joe had -10 points. He became so frustrated that he went on a rampage. He targeted the other members of the series and took out Devon, D’Angelo Dinero and series frontrunner Crimson.

Morgan grew tired of his actions and confronted Joe as soon as he was taken off the injured list. That led to a match at No Surrender which the Blueprint won.

A few weeks ago, Joe finally ended his long losing streak by winning the rematch. Tomorrow night is the rubber match.

Who will come out on top?

We have to factor Crimson into the result as well. The undefeated wrestler is still looking for revenge for what Joe did to him.

Will chaos ensue before Bound for Glory?

Karen Jarrett Has Something Planned for the Participants of the Knockout’s Title Match

Weeks ago, the vice-president of the Knockout’s Division, Karen Jarrett, created the Queens Qualifying Matches. We saw six Knockouts competing in three matches to determine Winter’s challengers for Bound for Glory.

Velvet Sky defeated Angelina Love, Mickie James defeated Brooke Tessmacher and Madison Rayne defeated Tara to qualify for the fatal 4-way match.

Last week, Winter and Madison beat Velvet and Mickie in a tag-team match. The heels have the momentum right now, but will that change tomorrow night?

What does Karen have planned for the Knockouts in the match? We also have to consider Winter’s lackey Angelina and Karen’s not too happy assistant, Traci Brooks, into what may happen.

Karen Jarrett has been quite the “boss” of the Knockout’s Division. It should be interesting to see what she has planned.

A.J. Styles and Rob Van Dam vs. Christopher Daniels and Jerry Lynn

Here we have two storylines clashing.

A.J. Styles and Christopher Daniels have been going at it since Destination X in July. Daniels wanted a match and lost. In their rematch, he got a cheap win after Styles slipped off the top rope.

Now he can’t stop bragging about the win.

Due to these recent events, these two five-star talents will have an “I quit” match at Bound for Glory.

Rob Van Dam and Jerry Lynn have had a long rivalry dating back to the days of Extreme Championship Wrestling. Their feud would be renewed at Destination X.

Van Dam won the match, and Lynn has been out for revenge because of it.

He cost Van Dam his spot in the finals of the Bound for Glory Series and that has led to one more match between the two. At Bound for Glory, these two ECW legends will be going at it in ECW’s backyard, in a full metal mayhem match.

Tomorrow night these four men go at it in tag-team action. Who will gain victory and the momentum going into the pay-per-view?

Kurt Angle and Bobby Roode to Appear

I don’t really see why TNA had to tell us this. Kurt Angle vs. Bobby Roode is the main event of Bound for Glory so it’s pretty obvious that these two wrestlers would appear tomorrow night.

The question is this, though: what will happen between them tomorrow?

Angle’s plan of Fortune’s potential jealousy taking Roode out before Bound for Glory failed. The stable is supporting their partner 100 percent in his quest for the TNA World Heavyweight Championship.

Does Kurt Angle have another plan to take out Bobby Roode just days before the big event?

Hulk Hogan vs. Sting: Bound for Glory Contract Signing

This Sunday at Bound for Glory the match we’ve all been waiting for is going down. At the same time, quite a few people have been dreading this.

No matter what your feelings are about the match between the two wrestling legends, it’s going to be official come tomorrow night.

This feud has been going on since Hogan debuted in TNA in January 2010. After almost two years, they are finally going one-on-one with the stipulation that, if Hulk loses, Sting and Dixie Carter get the company back.

There’s a lot of tension between these old rivals, so something is bound to explode here.

Will this be like the Sting/Kurt Angle contract signing before Hardcore Justice where there was peace? Or is someone getting beat down?

We also have to factor in the three other Bound for Glory Series matches in the show.

Ever since their match was announced for the big show, Bully Ray has been getting the upper hand on Mr. Anderson.

Three weeks ago, he and Jerry Lynn defeated Anderson in a handicap match, and Ray cost Anderson a match against D’Angelo Dinero two weeks ago by hitting him with a kendo stick.

While Ray has the momentum, Anderson may have gotten in his head.

Last week, he challenged Bully Ray to make their match a falls count anywhere match. Ray called him crazy and walked away.

Will the big bully accept the challenge?

Ink Inc. returned with a vengeance a few weeks ago and attacked the Tag Team Champions Mexican America.

A few months ago, Hernandez put Jesse Neal on the injured list, and now he and Shannon Moore want revenge.

Right now, they each have a notch on their belts in terms of the current feud. Ink Inc. beat down the champions three weeks ago, but Mexican America beat down the tattooed superstars the following week.

Who will gain the upper hand going into their Tag Team Title match at Bound for Glory?

Finally, we have the X-Division Title match between champion Austin Aries and his challenger Brian Kendrick.

Aries defeated Kendrick to win the title last month at No Surrender, but Kendrick didn’t get his automatic rematch. It seems that in TNA you have to earn your rematch, which I really like.

I always thought the idea of an automatic rematch after losing a title was boring.

Two weeks ago, Kendrick defeated four other X-Division wrestlers in a ladder match to get his rematch at the biggest show of the year.

While the opponents didn’t interact last week, Aries’ associate Kid Kash attacked Kendrick backstage.

How will Brian Kendrick respond to the attack? Will Austin Aries and Kendrick go face-to-face before their title match?

Tune in tomorrow night to see what happens!
