LeBron James Tweets at NFL Guru John Clayton, Sets Twitterverse Ablaze
With but a suggestion, the Twitter world was sent into a tailspin. LeBron James typed just a few words, and that has caused a hilarious snowball to roll through Twitter accounts worldwide.
Despite the NBA lockout, James continues to be the only thing we want to discuss. He has no problem getting the discussion started with ridiculous acts, comments or tweets.
Let's begin with the tweet that started it all. James asked ESPN's John Clayton a question only an athlete with football hopes would pose.
On Tuesday, he asked about playing in the NFL, and this is what he started.
John Krolic tweeted about everything from basketball speed vs. NFL speed to Dan Snyder signing the NBA legend. My favorite of the day was this gem that is spot on. Yes, the world would cease to exist.
ESPN's Brian Windhorst has a good idea of James' past history as a high school star on the gridiron. Here are a couple tweets that he offered to the masses.
This tweet begs the question that no one dare ask. I have to think that Eddy Curry would make more of a great nose tackle like Vince Wilfork. They have roughly the same size around the midsection.
The Miami Heat may be busier during the lockout than they ever could have been during the regular season. I fear Chris Bosh may be typecast, though.
This tweet wins the no duh post of the day. You never want to put King James in after three quarters of work. Not if you want to win.
Now this is just good career advice. The tweet assures that James not make the same mistake twice. In fact, any dream team is now destined to fail in grand fashion.
And the last word goes to Ali Bronson's tweet.
I couldn't care less if James would make a good NFL player. The fact that he chose twitter to get his schedule information proves that he just wanted to get some discussion going in the Twitterverse.
Well, he certainly knocked that objective out of the park. We haven't had this much fun on Twitter since James was getting bounced by Dirk Nowitzki.
I will expect another Twitter thunderstorm to hit as soon as James decides to tweet again.
