Boise State vs. Colorado State: TV Schedule, Radio, Game Time and More

Matt FaulconerOct 11, 2011

The Boise State Broncos, cruising along as normal so far this season with an undefeated record, have their sights set on advancing to the BCS National Championship Game. The Colorado State Rams will have their sights set on an epic upset when the Broncos step foot inside Hughes Stadium.

Their closest game of the season was against the Georgia Bulldogs in the Georgia Dome, but they have had no problem cruising to victory in their last four.

Colorado State is currently 3-2 on the season, and is coming off a 38-31 loss to San Jose State.

Where: Hughes Stadium

When: Sat, Oct. 15 at 6 p.m. ET

Watch: Mountain West Sports Network

Radio: Boise State (KBOI 670, KKJL 96.9), Colorado State (KLZ 560, KCOL 600)

Betting Line: Boise State (-32.5)

The Broncos are 3-2 against the spread in their last five games, and it's simply too hard to bet against them.

They always find a way to blow teams out, and cover spreads even when they are up by a ton.

The Rams haven't faced a team of this magnitude all season, and will likely find themselves blown out.

It's too tough to bed on the Rams, so if you're taking a side, jump on Boise State.

BCS/Top 25 Implications

Another week, another easy victory for Boise State. They likely won't see any boost in their stock for winning this game, but if they lose, they will plummet in the standings.

Boise State has to win this game if they want to keep their hopes of advancing to the BCS National Championship Game alive, and they need to win in blowout fashion.

Heisman Implications

Kellen Moore is one of the premier Heisman Trophy candidates this season, and is looking for another huge performance this week to continue his rise to the top.

He is going to need some help from the other elite candidates though if he wants to win the award. He has the numbers to win the trophy, but without any elite teams on the schedule, it's going to be tough for Moore to stake his claim to the Heisman.

What They're Saying

Here is what ESPN had to say about Boise State's season to this point in the year:

"

The Broncos opened the season with a critical test against Georgia in the Georgia Dome, yet another nonconference game on the road that would test its mettle. Boise State easily passed the test, winning 35-21 and in the process taking down an SEC team for the first time in school history. Kellen Moore carved up the Georgia secondary, and the underrated Boise State defensive front had six sacks and never really let the Bulldogs find much of a rhythm.

That win looks better and better, now that Georgia has a real shot at winning the SEC East after shaking off an 0-2 start. Boise State has cruised in its other four games and is ranked No. 5 in the latest AP poll, leaving many to question its credentials once again.

"

Player To Watch for Boise State: Kellen Moore

Was there any doubt the player to watch would be Kellen Moore?

Moore is off to another terrific season, and is without a doubt the player to watch every time the Broncos step foot on the field.

He has over 1,300 yards passing already, and has 17 touchdowns on the season. Expect another big day out of Moore in Colorado.

Player To Watch for Colorado State: Pete Thomas

Colorado State QB Pete Thomas is having a solid sophomore campaign, but still needs to work on limiting his turnovers.

He already has five interceptions to go with six touchdowns, and if the Rams are going to have any chance of coming away with a victory, they need Thomas to step up in this one.

Key Matchup: Kellen Moore vs. Colorado State Secondary

If the Rams are going to have any chance at all of winning, their secondary is going to have to play their best game of the season.

The Boise State passing attack is as lethal this year as it has been in seasons past, and if the Rams can't slow down Moore, it will be a long day.

Prediction: Boise State 49 Colorado State 13
