Week 6 Fantasy Football Waiver Wire: Buffalo Bills and Strong Bye-Week Defenses
Maybe your starting defense is on a bye. Maybe your defense is lined up against a phenomenal offense.
My normally reliable strategy of going with the defense that plays the Seahawks has hit a snag. It's not that the Seahawks offense has proven me wrong. Yes, they did score a lot of points last week, but the Giants defense still had a fine day for me.
But this week, the Seahawks are on a bye. So myself, along with people who have adopted that strategy, need to look elsewhere.

Re-Drafting the Last 5 Rookie Classes 🤯
The good news is that there is hope. There are still plenty of defenses out there that can give you a nice week of points.
Buffalo Bills
The Giants offense can score a lot of points. They also turn the ball over a lot and don't always do a great job of protecting Eli Manning.
The Bills defense doesn't exactly resemble the Ravens of 2000, but they do force a lot of turnovers. In the last three games, they have actually scored a touchdown.
So, this is a really strong matchup. Don't be alarmed at the possibility of high point totals. The Bills can score you quite a few points this week.
Miami Dolphins
The Jets will be desperate and I think will win this game relatively easily. But with the exception of the Patriots and Jaguars, the Jets offense has surrendered a lot of points to fantasy opponents.
The Dolphins defense is not as bad as it has looked this year. They are likely the worst team in the league, but still boast a defensive unit capable of landing some points.
The biggest fear is that the offense won't do anything in the field position battle. When and if that happens, the Jets' won't need to do much to score points.
Still, I don't see this being a move that you would regret.
Washington Redskins
Given the Eagles' talent on offense, I feel weird making this point. But this is actually a good play.
For one, the Eagles turn the ball over a lot and don't run well. This is a good combination for an opposing defense as it relates to fantasy points, even if the Eagles get some big plays.
Two, depending on your scoring, the Redskins have been one of the best fantasy defenses in the early season.
This doesn't look like a good matchup, but don't be afraid of Michael Vick. I am sure Philadelphia's offense will do some damage, but I am just as sure that the Washington defense will be a good play for owners.
