Week 6 Waiver Wire: Kendall Hunter and More Bye Week Saviors
Another week of NFL football is giving fantasy owners another week of new injuries and bye weeks to deal with.
Bye weeks are tricky, especially if you have a key player or two that is sitting out. Still, if you work the waiver wire well, you can survive and even escape with a surprising win.
So, keep your eyes on the waiver wire for these guys. If you can grab then, do so.

Projecting Every NFL Team's Starting Lineup 🔮

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Kendall Hunter
Frank Gore is certainly the primary running back in San Francisco, but Kendall Hunter can make a big play every time he touches the ball.
Without Josh Morgan, the 49ers are going to be focusing more on the run than normal, which is significant.
The Lions defense is not especially strong against the run. While Gore will get most of the carries, he won't get all of them. Expect a solid game from Hunter this week.
He's a much different back, and if used properly, he can really keep the Lions defense on edge.
Victor Cruz
Cruz is only owned in 38 percent of ESPN leagues. When the mid-week waiver wire hits, that's going to change in a big way.
Do not waste any time with Cruz. In his last three games, he's caught for 110, 98 and 161 yards. Eli Manning can make fantasy giants (no pun intended) out of his receivers.
Against Buffalo's pass defense, Cruz will not be slowing down.
Actually, this is not a huge week in terms of big-name quarterbacks on byes. Still, with a few big names (notably Philip Rivers) out, we do need to keep our eyes out on some players.
The Raiders defense has not done a good job against the pass this year. So, from that end, McCoy is likely to throw for a fair amount of yards.
I also think the Raiders will win the game, so McCoy will spend a lot of time passing. Yes, that probably means that we will see interceptions, but the yards and touchdowns will make up for it.
Cleveland is a mess right now. Still, their quarterback is a valuable enough fantasy asset—at least for one week.
