NFL Picks Week 6: Dallas Cowboys and Top Teams Who Will Lose Must-Win Games

Kyle VassaloOct 11, 2011

It's Week 6, and for some teams, their uphill battle is going to get a lot steeper. While no team is guaranteed to make the playoffs after a quick start, there are several teams whose playoff hopes will fly out the window after this week.

Here are three teams who will join the Rams, Vikings, Colts, Chiefs, Panthers, Jaguars, Eagles and Dolphins in hopeless mediocrity.

Different coach, same problems. Tony Romo is still not the answer at quarterback, injuries are keeping the roster from being at 100 percent and the entire organization is underachieving. The Eagles are in shambles, but the Redskins are a force to be reckoned with.

The Cowboys are 2-2. Unfortunately, they face the Patriots and are doomed to drop to 2-3. The Cowboys have a more manageable schedule lying ahead, but the way they are going, it's clear they are in for another disappointing season.

Aside from the Eagles, the Falcons are the most disappointing team of the season. They've dropped three games already this season, and they are watching their Super Bowl expectations fade into playoff dreams.

The Panthers gave the Saints a run for their money last week, and even though they are going on the road, Cam Newton and the Panthers are catching the Falcons at the right time. If this turns into a Matt Ryan vs. Newton shootout, the rookie ironically has the upper hand.

The Browns came out swinging, but this is the last time they will see a .500 record this season. The Steelers are vulnerable and the Bengals have overachieved, but the Browns are still the worst team in the AFC North.

The Raiders are playing fantastic football right now, and the Browns match up miserably against Oakland. In a Darren McFadden vs. Peyton Hillis battle on the ground, the advantage probably goes to Run DMC, who happens to be leading the lead with 519 yards rushing.
