NFL Power Rankings Week Six: Checking the Experts

Tom EdringtonOct 11, 2011

Don't let Week 6 fool you, the Power Rankings from Week 5 are out, even though this is Week 6, you can only get the Week 6 Power Rankings after Week 5.

Now that you're thoroughly confused, we'll take a look at the NFL Power Rankings from ProFootballTalk.com's Mike Florio, who would tell you he's an expert at getting from West Virginia to New York City without using airplanes.

1. Green Bay Packers (5-0): Right where they should be.

2. New Orleans Saints (4-1): I'd take the Lions. Right now, 5-0 deserves the second spot.

3. Detroit Lions (5-0): Best thing to happen in Detroit since Motown Records opened.

4. Buffalo Bills (4-1): No truth to the rumor that Florio got 12 dozen free wings for putting them here.

5. New England Patriots (4-1): Did they actually show a running game?

6. Baltimore Ravens (3-1): Here's a team ready to move up.

7: San Francisco 49ers (4-1): Florio may have them too high; they're still in the NFC West.

8. San Diego Chargers (4-1): Worst one-loss team in the NFL.

9. Oakland Raiders (3-2): Florio knows they have three winnable games coming up.

10. Houston Texans (3-2): Matt Schaub overrated and so are the Texans.

11. Pittsburgh Steelers (3-2): About where they should be.

12. Washington Redskins (3-1): Florio knows the NFC East sucks.

13. New York Giants (3-2): Florio knows the NFC East sucks.

14. Cincinnati Bengals (3-2): Florio got some Skyline takeout and got carried away.

15. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (3-2): Florio didn't see the 48-3 blowout, otherwise they'd be lower.

16. Tennessee Titans (3-2): Ranked too high, Florio dropped Chris Johnson from his fantasy team.

17. Chicago Bears (2-3): Florio makes Atlanta fans feel really bad.

18. Atlanta Falcons (2-3); Best 2-3 team in the NFL?

19. Dallas Cowboys (2-2): It's bad to be a Cowboy.

20. New York Jets (2-3): Marvelous underachievers.

21. Carolina Panthers (1-4): Florio knows they're the best 1-4 team in the NFL.

22. Seattle Seahawks (2-3): How did these guys win two games?

23. Philadelphia Eagles (1-4): Florio nailed this one.

24. Cleveland Browns (2-2): What's Florio got against Cleveland?

25. Kansas City Chiefs (2-3): Worst two-win team in the NFL.

26. Minnesota Vikings (1-4): One win and Florio's on the bandwagon.

27. Denver Broncos (1-4): Wait until Tebow takes 'em to three straight wins.

28. Arizona Cardinals (1-4): Could be 29th or 30th.

29. Jacksonville Jaguars (1-4): Solid entrants in the Suck 4 Luck race.

30. Indianapolis Colts (0-5): Florio should know Jim Irsay WANTS to be 32nd.

31. St. Louis Rams (0-4): Worst team with a franchise quarterback.

32. Miami Dolphins (0-4): Can't be worse than Indy, can they? Come on Mike.

Another week, another struggle at the top, the middle and the bottom.

PFT's Power Rankings grade: Solid "A" for Florio, the first since his sophomore year in high school!
