Bears vs. Lions: Jay Cutler Will Continue Shining After Heroic Effort on MNF
Everyone knew that Jay Cutler was going to be in for a long night against the Detroit Lions, but he certainly rose to the occasion despite the team's loss.
Cutler was ripped by the fans and the media for sitting out the NFC Championship game with a knee injury. He was seen as weak by the media and was called out for simply being too soft to lead a team to the Super Bowl.
He was then called out for attending Dancing With The Stars this past week to watch his ex-girlfriend compete.

Projecting Every NFL Team's Starting Lineup 🔮

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Then he came out against the Lions and showed exactly why the Chicago Bears traded for him. He was under pressure seemingly every single time he dropped back to pass.
His offensive line has been brutal this year, and they didn't exactly step it up for this game. He was hit play after play after play, but he kept getting back up and kept firing the ball downfield.
His receivers didn't help him out much, with either dropped passes or sloppy routes. Matt Forte dropped a crucial pass on third down, which could have helped turn the tide in the Bears' favor.
His offensive line is not going to miraculously improve this season, which means Cutler is going to have to continue standing in the pocket and continue taking shots.
You can expect Cutler to continue standing in there, but that doesn't mean the Bears are going to turn their season around, either. The defense has been poor, and Cutler is still missing the elite WR he needs to be successful.
Expect Cutler to continue impressing with his toughness and continue putting up decent numbers, while the rest of the team costs him a chance at the playoffs.
