Gone Baby GoneOct 11, 2011

TNA has decided to make some big moves for their biggest pay-per-view event of the year.

The first has them following in the footsteps of UFC by allowing viewers to watch Bound For Glory from select movie theaters. TNA has teamed up with Screenvision to allow fans to attend a local theater to watch the pay-per-view at a discounted rate. Click here for locations.

TNA Wrestling announces partnership with Screenvision to bring "Bound For Glory" Pay-Per-View event to theaters nationwide! TNA Wrestling’s Biggest Pay-Per-View Event of the Year “Bound For Glory” to be shown Live on Sunday, October 16, 2011 in over 100 theaters across the United States.

The screenings of “Bound for Glory” mark the first time TNA will showcase their annual event in movie theaters. All fans attending this live in-theater event, will also receive special messaging telling attendees how to get their free TNA “Bound For Glory” 2011 T-shirt.

"

The cost to watch it at theaters ranges from $14.99 to $19.99, which is almost half of what you will pay if you watch from home, the biggest disadvantage being you have to drive somewhere to watch it. Other than that it seems like a pretty good deal.

They also announced that they will have a live free pre-show that will be offered on their Facebook page.

"

TNA will air a FREE pre-show starting at 7:30 ET / 4:30 PT, featuring the TNA World Tag Team Championship match with Mexican America (Hernandez and Anarquia) vs. Ink Inc (Shannon Moore and Jesse Neal), plus backstage interviews with the Superstars and much more, just minutes before the "Bound For Glory" Pay-Per-View event!

"

This is also a nice touch, especially for those who are on the fence about getting the pay-per-view.

Personally, I would have preferred seeing RVD vs Jerry Lynn in that time slot, especially since they have fought numerous times and it's not a match that anyone cares about.

I'm not saying Ink Inc. vs Mexican America has got people foaming at the mouth, but it is a title match, which to me is more worthy of pay-per-view time.

In the end, I really hope this lives up to the hype as they could use the boost in revenue and TV ratings.
