Fantasy Football Waiver Wire Week 6: Should You Add Tim Tebow?
The Denver Broncos made the announcement that everyone knew was coming Tuesday morning when they decided to name Tim Tebow as their starting quarterback. Tebow will start the Broncos next game against the Miami Dolphins in Week 7.
This tweet came from ESPN's Josina Anderson:
""Breaking News: The #Broncos have named Tim Tebow the starting QB at this time."

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
While the news wasn't something unexpected, it does confirm the talk we've heard since Tebow stepped in during the second half of the Broncos 26-18 loss to the Chargers last Sunday. Tebow led the Broncos on two scoring drives and had a chance to throw a desperation pass to the end zone with one tick left.
But now that Tebow is in fact starting at quarterback, is he someone you should add to your roster in fantasy football?
Absolutely. And don't even hesitate.
It's not going to look pretty when he drops back to pass, but there's no reason to think that Tebow can't post fantasy relevant numbers. He's not going to be a candidate to throw for 400 yards like Cam Newton did right away, but Tebow has the athletic ability to score rushing touchdowns in bunches, which significantly raises his fantasy stock.
Tebow also has the benefit of a full bye week to get first team reps. After playing with mostly the twos and threes throughout this season, he needs that time with the first group for everyone to get a comfort level in an offense that is sure to be fundamentally different with Tebow in charge.
In Week 7, he'll face the lowly Dolphins in the state of Florida, where his fame is larger than it is anywhere in the country. You'd have to think the Broncos will have plenty of formations that take advantage of Tebow's running skills and hide his limitations as a passer.
Either way, what we saw from Tebow against the Chargers is reason enough to take a flier on him this week on the waiver wire. We know he's going to play, and there are plenty of quarterbacks in the NFL right now that are struggling to keep their head above the fantasy water.
Tebow is worth the pick up—not as a starter yet—but as a bench player in fantasy football.
