Chael Sonnen: "Every Fighter That Isn't Named Chael Sonnen Is a Coward"

Forget about rankings and pound-for-pound status.

According to "UFC Middleweight Champion" Chael Sonnen, the greatest fighters in the world are named Chael Sonnen.

The former UFC title contender spoke with Bobby Cavian of StudioMMA about his UFC 136 bout with Brian Stann, Anderson Silva and "cowards" in the UFC locker room.

I got tunnel vision. I'm after the belt. Period. I'm not making any apologies or qualms about it. And the rest of the cowards in the back that just want to get their faces on TV and don't want to carry any heavy water, I've got no time for those guys. All of them. Every damn one of them that isn't named Chael Sonnen is nothing but a coward

After submitting Brian Stann in the second round with an arm triangle, Sonnen didn't waste any time calling out nemesis Silva, who submitted Sonnen at UFC 117 with a last-minute triangle choke.

The bad blood between Silva and Sonnen has gone on for well over a year, and the tension in the air at UFC 136 could've been cut with a knife.

"Anderson Silva, you absolutely suck," stated Sonnen. "Super Bowl weekend...the biggest rematch in the history of the sport. I'm calling you out, Silva. It's time to up the stakes. I beat you, you leave the division. I lose, I will leave the UFC forever."

The arena erupted all around Silva, as he merely sat and smiled confidently.

MMA fans around the world have spoken, and it looks like the Silva and Sonnen rematch could be on tap for 2012.

Will Sonnen finish what he started at UFC 117, or for a second time, will Silva shut Uncle Chael's mouth and put him in his place for good?

"When you're the greatest fighter in the world the day they've got a name for you. They don't call you a great fighter, they call you Chael Sonnen," said Sonnen.
