NFL Picks Week 6: Green Bay Packers and 3 Teams That Will Win Easily

Josh MartinOct 11, 2011

Are you down on your luck with betting on NFL games? Has Las Vegas got you feeling blue?

Well, never fear, my weary gambling friends! As unpredictable as the 2011 season as been, you can count on these three teams coming through with big wins in Week 6.

So what happens when a fantastic 5-0 team plays host to a awful 0-4 flop of a squad? Tune in on Sunday to find out, when the wrote-for-luck Rams ramble into Lambeau Stadium to get punished by the Packers.

Aaron Rodgers is playing as well as an quarterback in the NFL right now (or ever) and will have every opportunity to pick apart a St. Louis secondary that, like the rest of the team, has been ravaged by injuries this season. The Rams' only way to win this one is to hope and pray that Green Bay's banged-up offensive line will be ineffective against Steve Spagnuolo's potent pass rush.

If you're trying to predict how the seemingly bipolar Steelers will fare from week to week, consider this: they've outscored their opponents 62-17 in two home games but have themselves been outscored 72-40 in three road contests, two of which have resulted in losses.

Pittsburgh will have the luxury of playing at Heinz Field this weekend, which would seem to be enough in and of itself to sway the game in the Steelers favor. Throw in the fact that their opponent will be the 1-4 Jaguars, with rookie quarterback Blaine Gabbert under center, and you'd probably be safe to plunk down your life savings on a victory for the Steelers.

I know, I know, I don't much care for the way the Jets have played in their last three games, either.

But they're playing at home on Monday Night Football against the winless, woeful Dolphins. If Mark Sanchez and company can't get their act together against a Chad Henne-less Miami team, then Gang Green fans will have every right to slam on the panic button with reckless abandon.
