NFL Trade Rumors: If Tim Tebow Puts Kyle Orton on Block What's the Asking Price?
With head coach John Fox expected to name Tim Tebow the Denver Broncos' starting quarterback tomorrow, that would leave Kyle Orton without a job. While Tebow may not be a cinch to keep the starting job, the move would essentially make Orton an expensive backup, as he is scheduled to earn up to $7.389 million this season.
If Tebow is named the starter, the Broncos will probably attempt to trade Orton over the next week, leading up to the NFL's trade deadline on October 18. You have to wonder if anyone would even be interested in Orton at this point.
Orton looked terrible on Sunday, completing just six of 13 passes for 34 yards, with no touchdowns and an interception. For the season, the seven-year veteran has completed 91-of-155 passes (58.7) for 979 yards, with eight touchdowns, seven interceptions and two fumbles. His 75.7 quarterback rating ranks him 28th out of the 32 players who qualify league-wide.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Honestly, after digging through his numbers, I don't know why anyone would trade for him or be willing to eat the bulk of his contract and send something to the Broncos in return. At best, the Broncos could hope for a late-round draft pick, like maybe a sixth rounder.
Orton is only 28 years old, but he has a 4-13 record in his last 17 starts, and his career numbers aren't exactly stellar. In 67 games, he has completed 1,225 of 2,107 passes (58.1 percent) for 13,753 yards, with 79 touchdowns and 55 interceptions. Orton also has a career quarterback rating of 79.4.
There is no NFL team currently desperate enough to make a move for Orton, so the Broncos shouldn't expect to land anything in return for him.
