NFL Predictions Week 5: Calvin Johnson and Players Ready for Primetime

Chris TrapassoOct 10, 2011

The Detroit Lions and Chicago Bears showdown is bound to set Monday Night Football viewership records tonight.

Count on that.

Everyone's talking about Detroit and their epic 4-0 start.

The Lions haven't even been on Monday Night Football in 10 years.

With a multitude of super stars in this one, we will see some fireworks this evening.

These three players are bound for huge games in primetime...

Calvin Johnson

Obviously.

I really don't see how Johnson doesn't catch two more touchdowns tonight to break the NFL record for consecutive two TD catch games.

He's too...everything.

Tall, fast, athletic with Jordan-esque leaping ability.

The Bears defense is allowing 301 yards through the air and although their defensive game plan will be focused on stopping the star wideout, doing so is easier said than done.

Just throw him the ball.

All the talk is surrounding the Lions potent offense in this one, but the Bears have a legitimate star of their own.

Forte ran for 205 yards and caught four passes for 23 yards last week against the Panthers.

With Detroit looking to create loads of pressure on Cutler, expect Forte to be a continual check down option.

He's great in the open field and possesses an ideal combination of size and lateral agility.

Ndamukong Suh

Sorry, I don't think Suh is a dirty player.

Not at all.

Fearsome, terrorizing, intimidating?

Certainly.

Suh will be licking his chops from the start and the Bears defensive line will have their hands full, especially with Fairley in the lineup.

We know how great Suh is, but now America will see that he'll most likely be a contender for defensive player of the year every season.

That disruptive.
