Serena Williams: Tennis Star Spotted on Date with Country Singer Jake Owen

Women’s tennis star Serena Williams may be dating country singer Jake Owen according to multiple gossip sites.

The two were photographed by X17online.com outside of Matsuhisa, an exclusive sushi restaurant in Beverly Hills, CA.

X17 is speculating that the two may in fact be a couple.

“A photographer on the scene tells X17online exclusively that Serena and Jake didn't make much of an effort to sneak out separately, but they tried to keep their exit 'as low key as possible'. Hmm, so are they just friends or something more?”

Serena apparently got upset by the rumors, which we learned via her Twitter account. On Oct. 8 she wrote, “Ugh paparazzi annoying. Honestly really? Like I wonder what tomm they will say.”

But on the same day she tweeted at Jake Owen, “@jakeowen had so much fun tonite! Yea can't wait to see concert tomm! Fun time see u tomm/today!!! Lol @MardyFishwish u were here!”

The two may be more than friends, but it honestly is just speculation at this point.

Serena is no stranger to highly publicized relationships, as she has dated LaVar Arrington, Common, Drake and many other figures in the public realm.

Jake Owen has just recently had his album Barefoot Blue Jean Night reach No. 1 on the US Country charts and is ready for the big time. Having a power relationship with a high profile athlete is certainly one way to cement his celebrity status.
