NFL Picks Week 5: Lions Will Easily Cover the Spread on Monday Night Football

A divisional game between two heated rivals is never a safe play on Monday Night Football.

However, since the Chicago Bears at the Detroit Lions is the only NFL matchup today, that is going to get plenty of bettors to make wagers on this crazy game tonight.

If you are one of those men or women that can’t help but get a little piece of the action on Monday night, you need to make sure you take the Lions at the very least.

Detroit has been a cover machine over the past two seasons and has managed to cover every spread that Vegas has thrown their way.

The worst result to happen so far if you gambled on this Detroit team was a push in Week 3 against Minnesota.

Last year’s NFC North champions, the Chicago Bears, are trying to stop them from making the playoffs and a win on Monday night would certainly help that cause.

I just can’t find any foreseeable way that Detroit drops this game at home in front of a fired-up fan base that has been deprived for so long.

These guys sold out a preseason match against the Patriots and made it sound like a playoff game at Ford Field.

I expect it to get loud and the fans to inspire their team during a prime-time nationally televised match. These Lions are ready for the big time and their first playoff appearance since 1999.

The spread is currently Lions -5.5, I expect them to win by at least seven. Lay the points and get paid.
