Hue Jackson: The New Face of the Oakland Raiders
Hue Jackson is not the new owner of the Oakland Raiders, but he is the new face of the franchise. Jackson represents everything the Oakland Raiders and Al Davis were about. His emotional sideline reaction shows the role Davis played.
Jackson was an up-and-coming offensive mind, but decided to take an offensive coordinator role with the Raiders. At the time of his hire, the Raiders were a franchise suffering from really poor media coverage. This was the team that drafted JaMarcus Russel and watched him balloon up to nearly 400 pounds.
But in typical Davis fashion, the Raiders didn't surrender to the criticism of the media. They continued to draft speed-based players, even though there was a running Raiders joke. This joke was that if you ran anything below a 4.4 40 time, Davis would work to bring you aboard.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
I was a part of the Darrius Heyward-Bey hatred, but the great Al Davis is making us all feel like fools. As Davis passed away, his Raiders were proving to be a real force in the NFL. They play an old school type of football game, but the type of style fans can get behind.
If you are a Raiders fan you are used to the ups and downs of the Davis era. However, you might be part of the most passionate fanbase in the country.
I focused this article on Jackson, because this is the new face of the Raider Nation. This is a guy that had a great relationship with Davis. He was someone that embraced the Raider way of football. Jackson could have sought other employment, but he had a loyalty to Davis.
We are entering a golden age for the Raider Nation; it's just a shame that Al Davis won't be here to enjoy the fruits of his labor.
