NFL Power Rankings: San Diego Chargers and NFL's Most Unimpressive Top Teams
If you take a look at my rankings below, you will see 16 teams with a 3-2 record. As far as it relates to the opening five weeks of the NFL season, that's pretty good.
So, without apologies, those teams are the ones that I am labeling as good. I don't know that they will end up that way. But right now, there are 16 teams in the league that deserve to be called good.
But which ones are really leaving us wanting more? Maybe they will keep winning in less than impressive fashion, maybe they will kick it up a notch, maybe they will drop off.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Whatever happens in the future is irrelevant. These teams have good records, but haven't been especially impressive on their way to them.
San Diego Chargers
This team just needs to be better. I know they are 4-1, but I am not seeing anything that's making me think that they will beat the NFL's top teams.
As a matter of fact, the Chargers are only a game ahead of the Oakland Raiders and still have to play both games against them.
Given that the Raiders beat the Chargers both times last year, I can't say that the Chargers will do anything better than a split in that.
Actually, let me rephrase that. They certainly can, but I am lacking any confidence that they will.
Pittsburgh Steelers
Now, I will admit that the Steelers went a long way in shutting me up against the Titans. I didn't think they would win and I didn't think Ben Roethlisberger would be effective. I was very clearly wrong on both counts.
Still, this is a team that's been remarkable inconsistent this year.
In Pittsburgh, they have rightfully come to expect championship teams. If the 2011 Steelers can't find a more consistent game, this will not be one of them.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers
On Sunday, I saw a team play the 49ers that just didn't belong on the same field as them. They were dominated in every aspect of the game.
Tampa Bay hasn't been especially impressive in their wins this year and have lost to two likely playoff teams.
If they can't find a way to bounce back against the Saints in Tampa, it will be hard to buy the Buccaneers as a real playoff threat.
