Week 6 Waiver Wire Pickups: Jackie Battle and 3 Backs Vaulting Up the Rankings
Who the heck is Jackie Battle?
That's what fantasy fans were wondering when glancing at Sunday's box score between the Chiefs and the Colts.
After receiving a grand total of 10 carries in the first four games, Battle exploded for 119 yards on 19 carries and two receptions for 21 yards on Sunday.
He looked incredibly fast and always seemed to fall forward after contact. At 6'2", 240 pounds, he is a load to handle. His brute strength will really come in handy around the red zone.
With Jamaal Charles out for the year and Thomas Jones and Dexter McCluster struggling...Battle is going to get the majority of the carries for the foreseeable future.
Available in virtually every ESPN standard league, put in you waiver wire claim right away.
Here are two other backs on the rise after impressive Week 5 performances:
Marshawn Lynch, Seattle Seahawks
Lynch finally had his first "beast mode" game of the year against the Giants, running for 98 yards and a touchdown. Seattle is now running a much more balanced offense than earlier in the season.
I wouldn't call Lynch a must-start, but if you are looking to fill a roster spot, you could do much worse than a guy that's scored two TDs in the last two weeks.
As the Seahawks quietly continue to stick around in games (and not abandoning the run game) expect Lynch's numbers to keep increasing.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Shonn Greene, New York Jets
Finally, the Jets gave him the ball against the Patriots, and he responded with 83 yards and a touchdown on 21 carries.
Even more promising for Greene, LaDainian Tomlinson only had two carries and one catch. He's clearly getting phased out of the offense in favor of Greene. Expect this to be just the beginning of a fantasy revival for Greene. The Jets are a running team and getting that identity back should be objective No. 1 for the 2-3 Jets.
Hope you didn't trade/cut him.
