Tim Tebow: Why Broncos QB Should Demand Trade If Kyle Orton Keeps Him Benched

The Tim Tebow debate continues to rage on, and gaining more fuel with every Kyle Orton incompletion. This quarterback controversy has brought an ugly cloud over the Denver Broncos franchise. The majority of the fanbase is calling for Tim Tebow, while booing every Orton pass.

At some point, this situation needs to be resolved. However, as long as Orton struggles and Tebow remains on the bench the cloud will loom.

Denver has started the season 1-3, due in part to the struggles of the offense. It appears that Orton is feeling some of the pressure. So far this season, Orton has seven interceptions a number he didn't reach until the final week of the 2010 season.

Orton's struggles have intensified the calls for Tebow, as many fans feel that they have a better chance to win with Tebow. At this point in the season, it is becoming clear that the Broncos will not win with Orton under center. 

Tim Tebow should be given a shot to showcase his skills. The only thing that might be holding back the change at quarterback is the feelings of the Broncos organization. Heading into the 2010 NFL draft, Tebow was someone that many felt was no better than a 3rd round prospect. 

While, others felt he would never be a successful NFL quarterback, needing to make a position switch.

Josh McDaniels saw Tebow as a quarterback, and selected him in the 1st round. McDaniels didn't survive the season and now Tebow is stuck with a new coaching staff. We have yet to get a clear picture on how John Fox sees Tebow.

If the Broncos organization doesn't see Tebow as a quarterback they need to be up front with him.  If the Broncos organization tells Tebow they don't view him has their quarterback solution, he should request a trade.

Tebow wants to play quarterback and should be provided with the opportunity to do so.
