Who Should Be Blamed For The Chargers' Lack-Luster Performance This Season?
Who should be blamed for the Chargers' 4-8 performance this season? Should it be Norv Turner? Should it be the dynamic duo of Phillip Rivers and LT? Or, should it be someone else?
Ninety-nine percent of people would blame Turner for his coaching. Well, to those who point the finger at Turner, let me explain something to you. Who led the Chargers to the AFC Championship game in the 2007-08 season? Turner. It is not his coaching that is the cause of their 4-8 record.
The dynamic duo of Rivers-LT are also not to blame. Why? Well, LT runs all over the opponents D, Rivers is a very good young QB, but they MUST change the plays up a little. When the D is expecting a run, pass it. When the D is expecting a pass, run it. And when special teams is expecting a punt or a field goal, you go for a fake, unless it's fourth and very long.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
There was a series of unfortunate events that led to their current record. First was the loss of OLB Shawne "Lights Out" Merriman to a season-ending knee injury. The loss of Merriman was a crucial hit.
The second event(s) was the loss to Denver where one Ed Hochuli had blew two calls that should have gone in favor of the Chargers, and a loss to Pittsburgh 11-10 which shouldn't have ended like that.
So, it is not Turner's or Rivers' or LT's fault, it is the combination of injuries, missed calls, and not playing as a team. To win these next four games and have a chance at the playoffs for the third straight season, they MUST play as a team, change up their play calling, and work extra hard.
If they go 8-8, I don't see Norv Turner going anywhere. Turner got them to play better and got them further than they have got the last 2 out of 3 playoff appearances which both were home losses in the wild-card round.
To those "Fire Norv Turner" critics out there, just you wait and see. Norv Turner will redeem himself. San Diego is down, but they are not out of the playoff race just yet. Remember, lightning strikes more than once, and can strike the same place twice.
GO CHARGERS!!
