Dwayne Bowe Video: Watch Bowe's Spectacular TD Grab Against Colts
There has not been a lot to cheer about this season in Kansas City, but wide receiver Dwayne Bowe's presence has kept the team afloat while everything else around him is falling apart. His performance against the Colts has kept them in the game.
Bowe is making the impossible look possible. Take, for instance, his touchdown catch late in the third quarter against Indianapolis.
With the Chiefs down 24-14, quarterback Matt Cassel took the snap from under center, lobbed the pass into the corner of the end zone, Bowe, who was being defended by Jacob Lacey, swatted the ball into the air and grabbed it as he was falling down.

It was a brilliant play, and another reminder of how good he can be when he is getting the ball. He got over the 100-yard mark in the game in the third quarter.
Things have gotten so bad with the Chiefs this season that, at times, Bowe gets lost in the shuffle. He only had 16 catches for 292 yards and two touchdowns in the first four games of the season.
The team has made a concerted effort to get him more involved in the game plan this week, and he is rewarding their efforts with by far his best game of the season.
Whether Cassel is the quarterback to lead this offense into the future remains to be seen, but as long as he keeps throwing the ball to Bowe, he should be able to pad his numbers enough to look better than he really is.
It worked last season, and the Chiefs were able to win the AFC West doing it. Circumstances have changed this season, but Bowe is the same dynamic receiver that he has always been.
The lesson here is for Cassel to just keep throwing the ball to Bowe.
