Vincent Jackson Injury: Projecting Fantasy Status for Philip Rivers, Ryan Mathew
According to Adam Schefter, Vincent Jackson will be active, but may be limited. Jackson is dealing with both a hamstring and abdominal injury. San Diego plays at Denver and could use Jackson's play-making ability.
When healthy, Jackson is a top fantasy-football wide receiver. He has produced several huge games, likely leading your fantasy team to a few wins. Jackson and quarterback Phillip Rivers have a great connection, which increases fantasy value.
Jackson is known for his physical play, something that will be be impacted because of his injury. He prefers to use his body to block out the defender, then go up and make the catch. The hamstring injury will impact Jackson's ability to explode, limiting his jumping ability. The abdomen injury will make raising his hands difficult.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
The injury to Jackson doesn't only impact him, but also Phillip Rivers and Ryan Mathews. Rivers has developed great timing with Jackson. He trusts that Jackson will be in position and able to beat his opponent.
Taking Jackson out of the lineup means that Rivers needs to find a new target. He is already missing Antonio Gates and could be without Jackson. If Jackson is unable to go, Rivers will be targeting his No. 3-option Malcolm Floyd, who is also dealing with some injuries.
Ryan Mathews and the running game will also be impacted by a Jackson injury. Jackson does a great job stretching the defense. He is able to make plays down the field, forcing defensive coordinators to give safety help.
Added attention to the passing game opens things up for the running attack. If a safety is forced to lineup over Jackson, it takes a man out of the box. Having less men in the box provides more running room.
If Jackson is out of the game, Mathews could count on more defenders near the line of scrimmage.
