Brandon Jacobs Injury: Projecting Fantasy Status for Giants RB Ahmad Bradshaw
New York Giants running back Brandon Jacobs is inactive for today's game against the Seattle Seahawks, as he's suffering from an MCL sprain. This means that Ahmad Bradshaw will be the lone starting back for the team, and he should have a solid fantasy outing because of it.
Up until last week's game against the Arizona Cardinals, Bradshaw had generally twice as many carries per week than Jacobs. Bradshaw struggled in Week 4, however, and the two split carries. He has 55 on the year to Jacobs' 38.
Today, as the sole back, Bradshaw should see a minimum of 25 handoffs. He is averaging 4.1 yards per carry, which makes him an excellent candidate for a 100-yard day against the Seahawks, though their defense is far more effective against the run rather than the pass. The Giants are excellent candidates for putting together a large early lead, and they will likely try to maintain it and the clock by running the ball.

Those 100 rushing yards will be supplemented by Bradshaw's significant contributions to the Giants' passing game; so far this season, he has 15 receptions for 119 yards and a touchdown. He could conceivably pull down three or four passes today, especially considering how poor the Seahawks can defend the pass.
In all, Bradshaw should be an extremely useful fantasy start in both standard scoring and PPR leagues. I predict him having between 115 and 120 total yards and both a rushing and a receiving touchdown. If you have him, don't hesitate giving him a starting role on your roster this week.
