NFL Picks Week 5: Last Minute Score Predictions for All Sunday Games
Picking NFL games is tough, because anything can change week to week in football. Sunday of Week 5 has a slate of tough games to call, and when prediction scores you know there are only two outcomes: either you'll be right and look like a genius, or you'll be wrong and look like a moron.
Here's hoping I look like a genius tomorrow morning.
Philadelphia Eagles (1-3) at Buffalo Bills (3-1)

Colts Release Kenny Moore

Projecting Every NFL Team's Starting Lineup 🔮

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
The Eagles will finally get things on track against a Bills team that has come back down to Earth following last week's loss to the lowly Cincinnati Bengals.
Philadelphia 34, Buffalo 24
Kansas City Chiefs (1-3) at Indianapolis Colts (0-4)
Woof, this one should be fun for absolutely no one. The Chiefs managed to eke out a win over the Minnesota Vikings last weekend and the Colts still have Curtis Painter under-center. Advantage Chiefs.
Kansas City 24, Indianapolis 17
Arizona Cardinals (1-3) at Minnesota Vikings (0-4)
The Vikings are still winless and boast the league's 28th-ranked pass defense. Larry Fitzgerald will have a nice homecoming, Kevin Kolb will get back on track and Beanie Wells will continue to improve. Arizona won't cruise, but they'll take this one.
Arizona 31, Minnesota 21
Seattle Seahawks (1-3) at New York Giants (3-1)
Somehow despite all the adversity they've faced, the Giants have managed to rebound and look very good in three straight wins. They get a gift from the scheduling gods in the form of the Seahawks on Sunday. Seattle is scrappy at times, but is still very far from being a solid squad.
New York (Giants) 31, Seattle 13
Tennessee Titans (3-1) at Pittsburgh Steelers (2-2)
The Steelers have looked nothing like the team that won the AFC championship last season, and today they face a Titans team that is rolling behind a very stout defense. Still, something tells me Pittsburgh will find the strength to win at home on Sunday. Ben Roethlisberger is hurt as is Rashard Mendenhall, but the Steelers have thrived on adversity in the past. Maybe this is the week they turn things around.
Pittsburgh 24, Tennessee 21
New Orleans Saints (3-1) at Carolina Panthers (1-3)
Cam Newton has put up some nice numbers, and looked like a solid NFL quarterback over the first four weeks of the season. Now he'll get to see what a Pro Bowl signal-caller looks like in person, as Drew Brees lights up a depleted Carolina defense.
New Orleans 42, Carolina 24
Cincinnati Bengals (2-2) at Jacksonville Jaguars (1-3)
This looks like another clunker, as neither team is destined for the playoffs. Still it is an interesting matchup due to the fact that both teams start rookies at quarterback. The Bengals' Andy Dalton has looked shaky at times over the past few weeks, but has also shown the ability to lead his team. Jacksonville's Blaine Gabbert has all the tools, but is a little further away from getting results. Cincinnati will sneak by in this one.
Cincinnati 20, Jacksonville 17
Oakland Raiders (2-2) at Houston Texans (3-1)
With stud receiver Andre Johnson out, the Texans will rely heavily on running back Arian Foster to carry them past the Raiders. Expect an old-school grinder in this one, as the Raiders will try to run to a win as well. Houston mixes in just enough passing to keep Oakland honest and grabs another win.
Houston 27, Oakland 17
Tampa Bay Buccaneers (3-1) at San Francisco 49ers (3-1)
I really have no idea how the 49ers have won three games. That said, the Bucs looked incredibly beatable against the Colts in Week 4, and are three-point underdogs on the road. At home the 49ers could sneak up and win this one, but I'm picking the better team to prevail in a close game.
Tampa Bay 24, San Francisco 21
San Diego Chargers (3-1) at Denver Broncos (1-3)
Philip Rivers and the Chargers have to put it all together and play a complete game at some point, and something tells me this is the week. They're the better team in all three phases and should have no trouble with the Broncos.
San Diego 35, Denver 17
New York Jets (2-2) at New England Patriots (3-1)
The Jets always seem to rise up and play well against the Patriots no matter what their record. This week I see them fighting for a half, but Tom Brady has New England's offense operating at too high a level for New York to matchup up with. The Patriots pull away in the second half.
New England 38, New York (Jets) 27
Green Bay Packers (4-0) at Atlanta Falcons (2-2)
No one can slow down the Packers right now, as Aaron Rodgers is leading his offense to an NFL-best 37 points per game average. I don't see the Falcons being able to slow down that onslaught, even though they will score some points.
Green Bay 42, Atlanta 31
