UFC 136 Results: Frankie Edgar Finally Defeats Gray Maynard
What a way to move past The Bully.
In the fourth round, Frankie Edgar finally managed to defeat Gray Maynard, as he handed him a brutal TKO.
The first round of the fight looked eerily similar to the first round of UFC 125, and Edgar got hurt multiple times and the fight arguably could have been stopped.
After three rounds, the fight was likely tied at 28-28, and Edgar's corner told him that. He wasn't willing to risk another draw.
After a scramble, Edgar hit Maynard with a huge uppercut, which rocked him.
Edgar chased him down, and did what Maynard wasn't able to, and finish a rocked opponent.
Edgar hit him with a right hook and, from there, it was over.
Edgar cemented himself as the undisputed lightweight champion, and quite possibly, the best lightweight in MMA history.
