UFC 136 Results: Is Jose Aldo the Most Exciting Champion in MMA Today?

Tim McTiernanOct 8, 2011

Jose Aldo is certainly one of the most exciting champions in MMA, but after his UFC 136 performance on Saturday night, and based on Jon Jones' performance at UFC 135, he's not quite the best or most exciting.

At UFC 135, Jones thrilled fans, and won Fight of the Night honors for his fourth-round submission over Rampage Jackson.

At UFC 134, Anderson Silva electrified Brazil and knocked out Yushin Okami in the second round.

Then, at UFC 136, Aldo fought to a less-than-thrilling decision with Florian.

It was a good fight, it was entertaining, but it wasn't the Jose Aldo from the WEC.

It wasn't the work of the most exciting champion in MMA today. Aldo may need to regain some of his edge if he's to continue intimidating opponents and defending the featherweight title.
